View of Saumur Castle, built with the abbey in 950, restored in 1810 and 1885, now serving as a municipal museum. The Saint-Pierre church and bell tower date from the 12th century. The castle was a state prison from Louis XI until 1830. Signed 'Riny' at the bottom left.
