Description

View of the two Columns of the Throne at Place de la Nation in Paris, dated around 1900, with horse-drawn carriages and pedestrians. The front indicates they were built in 1788 and topped with bronze statues of Philippe Auguste and Saint Louis. The reverse details the history of the site, which formerly bore the name Place du Trône, and mentions the publisher 'Vues de Paris' and the printer 'Geneve imprimé en Italie'.
