Description

Aerial view of Waddi Dhar, an oasis nestled in a rocky outcrop in Northern Yemen, with its multi-storey buildings made of brick or rammed earth, featuring multicolored stained glass windows and translucent alabaster. The reverse indicates that this ancient residence of Imam Yahia, assassinated in 1948, has been accessible to tourists since 1962 and that Northern Yemen is a closed country to the world, bordered by Oman and Tibet.
