Panoramic view of the snow-capped summit of the Grandes Jorasses (4206 m) under a deep blue sky, with golden reflections on the ridges. Reverse: postcard sent on 8-11-85 from the Vallée d'Aosta, with an Italian stamp of 400 Lire (Castello dell'Imperatore, Praio) and a postmark from Ripetta (Rome). Handwritten message from Eric to Germaine Bouvier in Rambouillet, mentioning a stay in Italy and a departure for Switzerland.
