Postcard showing a mounted soldier in a blue uniform and red plume in front of the Horse Guards buildings at Whitehall, London. The reverse features a handwritten letter from Paul to his wife and brother-in-law in Paris, dated 11 February 1969, with a 4 pence stamp of Queen Elizabeth II and a London postmark. Printed text explains that the Blues and Royals, formed in 1969, are the second regiment of the royal cavalry and perform ceremonial duties.
