Interior of the Basilica of Saint Francis in Assisi, with a central altar under a stone vault, hanging candlesticks and metal grille. Reverse: handwritten letter dated April 20, 1966, sent to a cousin, mentioning the saint's tomb and his first monastery. Italian postmark, Assisi cancellation.
