Colorized view of Piazza San Marco in Venice, overrun by a multitude of pigeons. In the background, the Basilica of Saint-Marc with its domes and Italian flags. The reverse has handwritten text dated September 3, 1928, addressed to Madame Gérière in Paris, with an Italian postmark and cancellation.
