View of the Roman Forum in Rome, showing the Aedicula of Vesta and the Temple of Castor and Pollux, with ruined Roman columns. The reverse contains handwritten text describing the history of the Temple of the Dioscures, its origin in 1884 BCE, and its state of preservation. An Italian postmark is applied with a cancellation.
