View of the Roman Forum in Rome with the new excavations, showing ancient columns and a domed building in the center. The reverse has a handwritten letter dated May 8, 1929, sent from Rome to Montauban, with an Italian 1929 postage stamp and a cancellation 'ROMA 8-9 V 29'.
