Black and white view of the Colosseum in Rome, with its arches and surrounding ruins, and a metal bridge in the foreground. The reverse has handwritten violet ink addressing Madame Cléon in Paris, a 5M Italian postage stamp cancelled in Rome on 31 July 1927, and a mention of the Universal Postal Union.
