Description

View of the German chapel in Herbécourt, severely damaged, where coffins were displayed before their entry into the cemetery. Printed text at the bottom mentions the Franco-British offensive on the Somme (1914-16). Reverse: handwritten correspondence addressed to Helène, with a cancellation 'Paris 1109' and a stamp 'A. Théor. Express' dated 1916.
