Description

View of the eastern façade of the ruined castle of Hérisson, with the village rooftops below. Printed text indicates its construction around the 13th century, its habitation in 1553 by Diane L. de France, and its acquisition in 1650 by the lord of Bri Ecuyer. Reverse: 15-centime postage stamp, dispatch postmark of Bar-sur-Aube from August 25, 1908, and handwritten address to Madame Crausillet in Brévannes (Seine).
